Conversations: Opera is a segment of the long-term Conversations project, transforming interviews with children into an operatic creation. The project comprises two distinct yet interconnected works: a live opera performance (commissioned by steirischer herbst 21) and an immersive video installation with spatial audio. Through a hybrid musical performance combining electronic music, hymns, lullabies, hip-hop, and opera, children’s voices become a vehicle for examining contemporary socio-political phenomena.
